Liesel Kipp is Vice President of Product Management for Scripps Networks Interactive, a leading developer of high-profile, lifestyle-oriented content for media platforms including television, digital, mobile and publishing via popular lifestyle brands HGTV, DIY Network, Food Network,, Cooking Channel, Travel Channel and Great American Country. Kipp uses her nearly 20 years of digital product experience to lead  product development across all categories and platforms including web, mobile, connected TV/TV Everywhere & emerging platforms. During her tenure at Scripps Networks, Kipp has led the evolution of Scripps’ digital portfolio, including the launch of connected TV apps across Roku, Apple TV & Amazon Fire TV, an overhaul of our digital platforms, the launch of Food Network on Amazon Echo & the continued enhancement of Food Network’s In The Kitchen app, placing it among the top recipe apps in Apple’s App Store. Kipp joined Scripps Networks in 2013 from KPMG, where she was in charge of its digital content strategy. Before KPMG, Kipp launched and was General Manager of and for the Wall Street Journal Digital Network. She also led the development of WSJ Select, an early player in the content and commerce space that featured gift guides and merchandise packaged for the Wall Street Journal consumer. Previously, Kipp lead product management globally at Thomson Reuters as Vice President, where she managed the product, design and design technology teams for Reuters Media, and she led the redesign of Reuters’ website, repositioning the brand in the US as a premier global business news destination. Kipp holds a bachelor’s degree from State University of New York College at Oswego. Kipp is a champion of customer-focused product development.  In her spare time she can be found gardening or cooking for fun with her family.


Nancy Lane, Senior Executive Producer, CBS News Digital: Nancy Lane is the Senior Executive Producer of CBS News Digital. In this role, she oversees all content for CBS News' digital properties, including, the CBS News mobile apps and social media accounts, and CBSN, CBS News' 24/7 digital streaming news network.  Prior to joining, Lane was Senior Vice President of Editorial for CNN/U.S., where she directed newsgathering operations, including rapid response to breaking news and in-depth coverage of ongoing and exclusive stories. She also oversaw affiliate desks, domestic bureau chiefs, guest booking, and the deployment of CNN's domestic newsgathering resources. Previously, Lane served as Vice President and News Director of CNN/U.S.  Lane joined CNN in 1981 as an intern in its New York City bureau, and subsequently served as an assignment editor, field and line producer, senior political producer, New York executive producer, Washington executive producer and Deputy Washington Bureau Chief. She graduated from City University of New York-Hunter College.  Lane is based at CBS News headquarters in New York.


Rachel Berk, Business Development Manager, Android/Play, Google: Rachel works on Google Play’s Business Development team focusing primarily on helping media and entertainment apps create successful businesses on Android. Working in the Entertainment category, she focuses on subscription services, TV Everywhere optimization and other living room initiatives, such as Android TV. A Southern California native, Rachel worked in Hollywood as a studio executive and film producer before joining Google. She earned her bachelor’s degree from The University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Wharton.


Michael Pachter, Managing Director, Equity Research, Wedbush Securities; providing coverage across the Digital Media sector and Head of Research for the Private Shares Group. He has been recognized as StarMine’s “Top Earnings Estimator” year after year and “Best on the Street” by the Wall Street Journal. Michael brings over 20 years of experience as a financial professional to the Private Shares Group along with extensive knowledge across the social media sector in both public and private companies. Mr. Pachter holds an M.B.A. from the Anderson School at the University of California at Los Angeles, a juris doctor from Pepperdine University, an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida, and a bachelor’s in Political Science from California State University, Northridge.


Erin Scanlon, US Audit Media & Entertainment Leader, Deloitte & Touche LLP: Erin Scanlon is the U.S. managing partner of the Media & Entertainment Audit practice of Deloitte & Touche LLP. She has nearly 30 years of experience and has led audit engagements for several of the firm’s largest media and entertainment clients. Erin is on the Board of Directors for the Deloitte Foundation and is a member of Deloitte’s National Pro Bono Committee. She is a frequent speaker on women’s issues, and serves as the treasurer of Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City and as a member of Women in Cable Telecommunications. Erin received her MBA from Columbia Business School and her bachelor’s degree in accountancy from Villanova University.
