Laura Williams Argilla is Director of Product, Video for Creative Cloud at Adobe. In this role, Laura is responsible for creating connected experiences for Adobe customers, helping them make the most of their digital workflows. Laura has held several positions at Adobe including director of product development for Adobe Story, and director of quality engineering for the professional video team. Prior to Adobe, Laura taught video editing and was the technical director at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She has been involved in various organizations that support film, art and women in technology, and she holds several professional certifications. Laura earned her undergraduate degree from San Francisco State University and a Master’s Degree from the University of Washington in digital media and new media storytelling.

Kimberly Smith is the West Coast Director at Foursquare, the leading location intelligence company. She oversees the Brand Partnership team, and works directly with a number of the Ad Age 100 and Fortune 500 brands and their agencies on media strategy, activation and measurement with the use of real world foot traffic intelligence. Previously, was the General Manager of Mobile at Flashtalking and Head of North America Sales & Strategy for Appsnack, an Exponential division.

 

Pete Stein is General Manager of Fullscreen’s brand services group. Stein leads comprehensive strategy and execution for clients across Fullscreen’s media management and sales, influencer marketing group, social video management, custom content development, production and distribution as well as experiential marketing. He also oversees the integration of social media studio McBeard, which provides clients rich and engaging multi-platform content across all social media channels. A seasoned executive in transformative marketing strategies, Stein joins Fullscreen on the heels of a year-long post as Executive in Residence at Lerer Hippeau Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on early stage media and technology companies in New York. Stein previously served as Global CEO of Razorfish, a digital agency focused on marketing and business transformation, where he oversaw more than 2,500 employees around the world. Prior, he oversaw strategy and operations of the company’s New York and Boston offices as East region president, working with top clients including Mercedez-Benz, Citibank, UNIQLO, Unilever, Ford Motor Company and Starwood Hotels.

 

Owen Geddes, Vice President, Market Development, Devicescape: Owen Geddes is responsible for the Devicescape Engage proposition, turning Devicescape’s Curated Virtual Network into the world’s largest proximity engagement platform. He has over 25 years’ experience at the forefront of innovation in mobile internet and proximity marketing. Owen has been instrumental in the development of the proximity marketing sector, working on projects with Google, Weve, Tesco, M&S, Lionsgate, and eOne. He has played a significant role in a number of pioneering developments, including the world’s first scaled deployment of Bluetooth beacons in retail, the creation of the first proximity advertising network, and the first campaigns to use Google’s Nearby Notifications. In 2015 he authored the global digital coupon standards for GSMA and GS1. Before working in proximity marketing, Owen founded and operated Freerunner; at the time Europe’s largest independent Wi- Fi operator. He was also part of the teams that launched UK public Wi-Fi networks for The Cloud and BT. He has also consulted for a variety of clients including Apple, Nokia, KPMG, and Verizon.

 

Mike Vorhaus, President, Magid Advisors: Founded the Magid Internet and New Media research and consultation practice in 1995, with AOL and Excite as his first two clients. Mike’s team has completed over 2,500 engagements with over 100 Internet clients. Mike began the Magid Gaming Practice in 2001 with EA and Sony Online as his first two clients. The Magid Game Practice now works with most of the major game publishers. Mike provides research and consulting services to a number of major traditional media companies in regard to their new media initiatives, as well as consulting a number of leading Internet and gaming companies. He has also provided advice to venture capital and private equity firms in regard to investments in the media space. Mike has been involved in strategic and tactical consulting, including the launch of new services and programming, as well as development and implementation of online and offline marketing programs. Mike has also been extensively involved in video and PC gaming strategies for a number of our companies, as well as the development of game concepts. Mike has consulted on a number of film projects such as You’ve Got Mail and The Matrix. He holds a B.S. in psychology and sociology from Wesleyan University and has worked as a fundraiser and transfer of technology officer at the California Institute of Technology and the University of California. Mike also worked for the U.S. House of Representatives, The U.S. Senate, and for two Administrations in the White House.

 

Stephanie Gutierrez is an award-winning social media and digital content strategist with over eight years of experience in the entertainment industry. She has crafted campaigns and creative strategies that amplified the digital presence for many high-profile clients, from television series and films to celebrities and brands. At Art Machine (a Trailer Park Company) she serves as Director, Digital & Social Marketing, responsible for developing and overseeing strategic digital and social media campaigns for a variety of entertainment clients, including Netflix, Showtime, and NBCUniversal. Prior to Art Machine, she led social media strategy for Digital Kitchen and launched Sony’s The Queen Latifah Show. Her true passion is television, which led her to organize and moderate a panel at SXSW 2017 called Bingers & Time-Shifters: The Future of TV Marketing.

 

Erick Brownstein is Partner and Chief Strategy Officer at SHAREABILITY. Erick leads the brand group for the Chernin-backed social content studio that drives explosive growth for major companies, studios and digital influencers. For brands like Pepsi, AT&T, Hyundai, Hyatt, FOX and The Olympics and global superstars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Rihanna and Leonardo DiCaprio, the company's end-to-end solution for creating and distributing shareable video consistently generates results that outperform the AdAge Viral Video benchmarks. Outside of video online marketing and the creation and distribution of video, Erick has also generated millions of dollars in sales for tech startups, advised the CEOs of multi-billion dollar companies on social strategies, directed international environmental and human rights campaigns and worked with Mother Theresa at her Home for the Sick & Dying Destitute in Calcutta. As a producer, he created and launched a Vegas show as well as the first Social Media Week Los Angeles, a massive conference spanning multiple industries with over 80 events across the city. As the Executive Director of ThursdayNights.org, Silicon Beach's premier group of decision-makers and investors in companies from Internet, Digital Media, Software, Gaming and Mobile, he helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for at-risk youth.  He also claims to be an advocate for class clowns
