Rick Loverd is the program director of The Science & Entertainment Exchange, a program of the National Academy of Sciences. The Exchange's inspires better science in Hollywood by introducing entertainment professionals to science communicators. Since its launch in 2008, The Exchange has completed more than 1,800 consults including IRON MAN 2, THOR, AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, STAR TREK: INTO THE DARKNESS, MAN OF STEEL, BLACK PANTHER, GHOSTBUSTERS, and BIG HERO SIX. Before working at The Exchange, Rick toiled at Creative Artists Agency as well as on TV shows including FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS and BOSTON PUBLIC.

Jon Amiel’s most recent feature film is Creation, a controversial and critically acclaimed portrait of Charles Darwin, starring Paul Bettany and Jennifer Connelly. The film was chosen to open the Toronto Film Festival. Jon’s film The Silent Twins was the BBC selection for entry at the Locarno International Film Festival and Montreal World Film Festival and following that he directed all six episodes of the multi-award-winning drama series The Singing Detective, which has come to be regarded as one of the greatest dramas ever made for television. Jon’s feature film debut Queen of Hearts opened at Cannes and was named Best First Film at the Montreal World Film Festival. He also directed the season finale episodes of The Tudors and four Emmy-nominated episodes of The Borgias. In the past 3 years he has also directed episodes of Hemlock Grove, Aquarius, Halt & Catch Fire, Once Upon a Time, The Astronaut Wives Club, Marco Polo, Ice, and the new Netflix series 7 Seconds. He recently produced and directed six episodes of the Sony/WGN series Outsiders.
