Jared Heinke is Head of Digital at Whalerock Industries, a media and technology company based in West Hollywood, California. In this position he oversees all digital and technology aspects of the company and leads a team of over 100 people.   In February 2015, he and his team launched Whalerock’s groundbreaking direct-to-consumer OTT multi-media hubs that integrate music,

video, live streaming, e-commerce, and gaming.  Later that year, he oversaw the launch of the OTT apps for the Kardashian/Jenner sisters and Golf Media for Tyler the Creator.  In 2016, Heinke and his team developed and now operate Emoji keyboards for Kim Kardashian West (KIMOJI), the Los Angeles Lakers (Showtime! Stickers), Ellen DeGeneres (Emoji Exploji), and the NFL Players Association (Any Given Emoji). Additional Whalerock partners in the digital arena include Sirius XM, Howard Stern, Warner Bros., Viacom, MSN and Microsoft. Since being named Head of Digital at Whalerock in December 2011, Heinke responsibilities include supervision of content creation and operation of some of the most popular digital properties including the interactive celebrity destination Wonderwall, Purple Clover, Mom.me and Tested. Heinke joined Whalerock Industries in November 2007 as a member of the unscripted television department and later was named head of the department.  He is a graduate of New York University.

 

Nick Childs, Chief Creative Officer NA, Society: Nick Childs is the Chief Creative Officer of Society.  In this role, Nick is tasked with developing creative and strategic storytelling that authentically connects their clients with audiences. Nick brings extensive experience across content development, directing and production. Throughout his career, Nick he has overseen every level of creative production, from tent-pole work on billion-dollar brands to award-winning, micro-budgeted social media projects. Nick was instrumental in the creation of the world-famous E*Trade “Baby” campaign, and his concept to market the novel “Thirteen Reasons Why” through social media helped drive the book to #1 on the NY Times Bestseller list and a Silver Lion at Cannes. He has also received Lions for his work with the NFL and Febreze, as well as Gold in Branded Content for the groundbreaking, community-generated narrative film, “Beyond the Still”. The movie premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, where Nick was onsite to help create and launch Lance Weiler’s transmedia project “Pandemic 1.0”. His work with brands has also has been celebrated at the Addys, Effies, and One Show. Outside of work, Nick wrote, directed and produced “The Shovel”, starring Academy Award-nominee David Strathairn. The film won Best Narrative Short at the Tribeca Film Festival. He was also executive-producer for the award-winning feature documentary, “High Score”.

 

Arleta Fowler is an Agent in the Digital Talent and Packaging group at leading entertainment and sports agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA). Fowler works closely with many of today’s leading digital talent, including Liza Koshy, Adande Thorne (aka sWooZie), Melvin Gregg, and Timothy DeLaGhetto, among others. In addition to negotiating and securing high-profile deals for her clients in the digital landscape, Fowler specializes in driving her clients’ businesses across multiple verticals, including the areas of television, film, and brand partnerships, of which she has worked with companies including Beats By Dre, Victoria’s Secret, MAC, and Nike. Fowler also identifies and develops new business opportunities in the digital space for traditional talent, working with such clients as Rachel Zoe, Nicola Formichetti, and Yara Shahidi. Fowler began her career at Discovery Channel.   She joined CAA in 2005. Fowler graduated from Howard University with a BA in Mass Communications.

 

Adam Cunningham began his career as a Hollywood talent manager, working with  A-list talent just as digital industries began challenging traditional business models and content monetization. Seeing this, he started consulting for numerous entertainment entities and creating a number of IP solutions to these problems. This led to him founding the agency 87AM, a full-service digital agency focused on the entertainment, arts and culture industries. 87AM became part of the Allied Integrated Marketing family in 2011. As Founder and President of 87AM, Adam oversees all digital activities across the agency’s 24 offices. 87AM works with many of the globe’s iconic brands, including STARZ, The Walt Disney Company, Showtime, ABC, Paramount, Universal, The Venetian, The Palazzo, Palms Casino Resort, Blue Man Group, Wolfgang Puck Worldwide, and many more. Adam divides his time between Los Angeles, New York, Las Vegas and Maine, and is an active Paley Center Media Council member, James Beard member, board member of various cultural institutions, and all around fan of golden retrievers, Emerson, plaid and bourbon.

 

LENA LOTSEY, SENIOR SOCIAL MANAGER, IGNITION: Lena is immersed in all aspects of social media, with a passion for producing engaging and effective digital and integrated campaigns in a mobile-first and always-on world. At Ignition Creative she heads up the agency’s award-winning social team, and is constantly on the lookout for innovative ways to lead the charge on existing social platforms, and harness new and emerging technologies, to amaze clients. Among her work, she has steered the social execution for Netflix's BoJack Horseman, Daredevil and the relaunch of Arrested Development, TNT's Animal Kingdom, Paramount's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Sony's The Shallows. Previously, Lena worked at Ignited (not to be confused with Ignition!) where she managed several first-to-market and award-winning activations for NBC Universal, MTV, CNBC Shark Tank, and Coachella. Her role played an integral part in both concept and the execution of the first Facebook premiere for MTV's Rebel Music, which focused on Native American youth. This groundbreaking work was acknowledged by a Clio shortlist and an invitation to The White House!  For six years prior to joining agency life, Lena was a Senior Producer at leading online lifestyle community, BlogHer, where she worked on influencer campaigns for a variety of brands, including, Coca-Cola, P&G, Hulu, Target, Starbucks, Disney, Dove, CoverGirl, and Nordstrom. When she’s not trend spotting on social media, you’ll find Lena enjoying the great indoors with her husband, daughter, and lively mini Australian Shepherd, Roo.
